Romulus sucks. So does Spock. Think about if the kid is looking for a job one day. Do you want his first and last names to rhyme? Of course not. Unless your last name is Galarty. Then Marty is a good name. We named our boy Lyle. Owen is a good name too.

why do you want something uncommon? That means they are usually unpopular and your poor child runs the risk of being teased, please think of how you would feel if you spent your whole life being teased about your name. Look up www.babynames.com and see what they suggest.

Shamus, Josiah, Sampson... those aren't too common. I think you may need to buy a baby book... You never know what kind of names are going to be in those. Some of them are actually interesting.
