Some people do not grasp the concept that they could have had an error in judgement or done something wrong. Most of these people are very close minded! Sometimes I do that, but if I'm given time to rethink my actions, I can acknowledge the errors of my ways! Unfortunately, I'm very stubborn, so if I'm pushed or told something, I will dig in my heels and close my mind and ears to what the other person is saying. There are probably many people like me! To counteract this, I try to always be right! LOL!

It's all about "saving face", being prideful, and probably to not make them look bad in front of other people. If people work for the government or the police then you know they will never say that they are wrong, lol.

Because it's a sign of weakness and most people have too much pride to admit that they aren't right all the time.

They are afraid of what people will think of them when they admit they are wrong. But you never get anything out of it so if you are wrong and you know it, its best if you admit it. Otherwise youre only causing yourself more problems.

mature adults can say they're wrong. it's when you're immature that you let pride get in the way. there's nothing bad about being wrong, we all make mistakes - that's why pencils come with erasers.

Pride is part of it, but being wrong also shows weakness

For me it is because it means that I have to admit it to myself and I am too stubborn for that. I guess you can say it is pride.
