Of course I've tried visine which is supposed to get the red out. Has anyone found something better? Even my little 5 year old son said "mommy, why do you always have cracks in your eyes?" Cute, huh.

Don't suggest getting more sleep. I'm trying to but my problems are keeping me up at night!

I occasionaly have the same problem. I believe the source of my problem is from my contacts so I always just take them out. Try getting some prescription eye drops from the doctor for pink eye. Even if you don't have pink eye it still kills the bacteria and flushes them out, usually clearing them up in a short while. These are better than visine.

Good luck.

Have a lot of sleep if not every day, try having long sleep on weekends. there is no other natural solution. you need to eat and sleep properly. have curd at night before going to bed. it will cool your body and in 4-5 days the redness will also go away. cut down on chilli and spices. it will also help. redness occurs due to heat in body either through food or mental stress.

Hope my words help you.

Try Biochemic medicine Ferrum Phos. Two tablets once a day for five days. If there is any improvement, then continue till the redness disappears. Otherwise stop.

Make sure you have a cataract coming on. I had the same problem of persistent even if everything else was regular in order. When I saw a doctor he diagnised cataract. After its removal the eyes becams normal.

Please make sure you have no problem with your footwear. Sometimes they bring on red eyes. Molish the heels and the underportion of the feet with pure ghee . This brings in relief. In case of recurrence resume the exercise,

Put folds of cloth drenched in pure cow mils on closed eyes at sleep-time.Please make sure you kitten is about. Cats like milk like nothing else. Also guard against rodents. They will eat almost anything.

Have lots of coolants(not cold drinks) like milsk, curds,butter-milk which cool the entire system including the eyes.

Try to control your temper(if you have a temper). The immeiate effect of anger is visible in eyes."the blood shot eyes"

Do you use hair oils. Avoid fncy oils and stick to coolants like cocoanut oil and molish hair with it . Nothing like a cool head for a clear vision(and perspective)

Avoid or maintain a safe distance from persons with sour or bloody eyes to that yours are not infected. Some eyes are more sensitive. Even the use of a kerchief to one can bring on the malady.
