Nither one ! Most friends come and go , and most lovers come and go. I would do what I wanted to do and not let ether one controle my life. If people start telling you what to do and who to see it will only get worse. Tell them to both to leave.

I think a friend is more important but then it depends on what type of friendship you have with them and what type of person they are. If they are a true friend who has always been there for you when you needed them, I would choose the friend because lovers come and go but a strong friendship is one of a kind!

Both are important in different phases , LOVE does not happen all the time and everyother time it may be different , If the NEED of the hour is LOVE , choose the LOVER . If once a friend they will always be there for you

It happen to me 5 years ago when my ex- bf made me choose between him and my best guy friend. I end up choose my best friend over him. He ask me why? I told him, IT easy to find a lover that control your life than found a best friend that understand you and be there for you when you need him or her. If your lover love you he/she should love you for who you are anh accept the people around you instead of make you made a choose. So i drop my ex, until now me and my guy friend still best friend.

If your lover is "the one" then the lover, because one day he/she will be family, and family always comes first. But if you feel like your friend is more of your family, and the lover as just sort of arrived on the scene, then your friend of course!

Honestly they are both your friend. The only time you "choose" between the importance of one to another is when you are married. Then and only then is your main priority your husband or wife.

depends how close you are to the friend or lover...is the lover temporary or is he going to be your husband??...its possible to have a friend that you known forever but if your boy/girl friend is the one that makes you complete and you been with him/her for a couple of years (NOT MONTHS...lol)...then yea pick your lover
my personal pick,...my boyfriend, best friend, high school and now college sweetheart of 4 years and counting..lol
