it all depends on your genes...ask your parents when there's cleared up and yours will usually fallow around the same age. i think for most people acne clears up in the early 20's but through out your life u still might get a occasional pimple here and there. mine cleared up when i was about 24 im 27 now and still get them sometimes usually around the time i get my period. so there's different reasons...stress, hormones, genes it all just depends! to fight back just make sure you face is clean..usually pimples pop up cause theres dirt in your pores.

If my math is correct, it seems like you are 18 years old. I am too. My skin was fine until I was about 17 1/2, then things went crazy. For me it was stress, and not drinking enough water and stuff like that. Try putting tea tree oil on the blemishes with a q-tip or something else (not a fingertip). Also, toothpaste on a blemish can help dry it out overnight.

Have you looked into several things like diet; do you drink lots of water, eat healthy, stay away from things that aggrivate the body like sodas, sugar, caffiene? Maybe see what kind of soap you use on your face; no deordorant soaps, harsh smelling or colored. Glycerine soap is best. Get exercise and some sun on your face (not too much to burn though). Do you take vitiamns daily? Try taking a good C, E and B complex.
If all that fails, see a good dermatologist. I know it stinks, hang in there. : )

i'm 16 and just started proactiv after a week. my skin is improving but no not clear. acne is such a burden. It has to do with genetics/age and acne will be more burdensome if your skin is really oily because it's caused my oil, NOT dirt. i hate looking back at old photos of myself because back then i didn't even take care of my skin however my face was gorgeous.....Puberty stinks doesn't it?

I think I was 19. But, I also went on the pill then, which they say helps clear up acne.
