What do you ahve to do to get your date to tell the truth about certain things?

Kids, cars, location of where he lives, career, goals in life, If he an exclusive relationship, does he have time for yo? When is smart to demand this this or leave when keeps avoiding your questions and you for that matter?

Go for telling something personal about yourself and ask him something personal. If that doesn't work. RUN

You're asking the wrong questions in a public forum, it almost makes you look materialistic, and demanding.
