Besides having the flu bug for the last 4 weeks, that I feel I am at the end of now. I still cough at night but, Mucinex seems to do pretty good.

Now besides all that I have had dizzy spells or and light headedness...Both really. I hope I wrote that right.
Anyway I was woundering since I have come close to passing out or blacking out... Is this something I should be concerned about?or could it be I just don't eat right.
My friend says I don't eat enough but, I am always full when I do.

I do drink alot of fluids more than eating. I drink water and 100% fruit juices I don't care much for cokes or pops. I am 44 yrs old, 5'8" if that matters.
I really needs some help here because it is concerning me.
I am not one to go to the hospital ever.

I thank all of you for your help ahead of time. Oh yeah I don't drink alcohol or do drugs. Been going through menopause since 1998

Is this something I should be concerned about? If so any ideals on what might be causeing this. TY

I have a Dr. Apointment July 25th. I do know this... The heat bothers me more than anyone around me. I seem more dizzy when I am out side.

You should see your doctor, if only to make sure that everything is alright after being sick for so long. I get dizzy and faint quite often, and was advised by my doctor to eat more often...eating several times a day and making sure you eat protein, not just carbohydrates and sugars, can help keep your blood sugar stable if your diet is part of the problem. But it could be something else entirely...like anaemia, or something more serious. Because you had the flu so severely, it could be a lung infection which led to pneumonia, and you could be feeling faint because you're out of breath. The point: see your doctor, she can run some very easy tests and tell you what's wrong and give you advise on healthier living. Good luck!

Look it seems like perhaps it could be your diet. If you are filling up on mostly fluids and not getting enough protein, this could be you problem. You had the flu for 4 weeks and in my personal opinion, that is way to long. But ask yourself, why did it take so long to get over it?. Well perhaps its because your body isn't able to fight off illness without some help from your immune system. Look, you seem to be in some doubt, and when in doubt, seek professional help. If you don't have insurance, go to a free help clinic or the hospital will connect you with a social worker. Just its better to know what's wrong then to guess.
