the government is trying to stop it because of the whole Adam and Eve thing, but it's really no one's buisness because it's the couples decision and you can't force anybody to obey the bible. Besides, I thought America was about freedom but it seems that's being taken away if you can't be who you want to be with. And it's also no ones buisness because even is it pysically harming you if two people of the same sex are together?

It's nobodys business. No one can define what love is. There is no definition. Love is different for every person. Just like no one can define the divine. Everyone has a different view of religion/spirituality/philosophy. I think Bush is making a huge mistake, and his approval rating reflects that America is fed up with his antics. Lucky for us we only have to put up with him for another year and a half, hopefully his reign will spur people to take an active voice in the voting process, so we can find a president who wants whats best for the whole of the nation. Furthermore, you are absolutely right, a relationship (no matter the gender) is not hurting anyone - and if someone in the relationship is abusive thats not exclusive to one type of relationship or another. This is simply another step we must face. Once upon a time it was unheard of to have an interracial marriage, because the bible clearly states slaves and their masters must not commune. Now adays, its no big news. Hopefully we can come to tolerate each other, seeing the good in people rather than thinking in a haze of paranoia that gays are somehow sabotaging other's marriages. Marriage's significance can not be detracted from by anyone but the couple in which it is pledged.

I don't think it's anyone's business if it's behind closed doors, but if same sex couples want the same rights that all normal couples have, and make their fight public, then it is everyone's business.
