I am almost 38weeks pregnant and i noticed that my milk was starting to leak does this mean i could start contracting soon?

More than likely it is colostrum rather than breast milk. Colostrum is the "pre" milk that your body produces in preparation for the milk. Some people get this in their second trimester, others never get it until after the baby is born. If it is orange/yellowish in color or if you are finding a crystal like substance on your nipples after you take your bra off, it is colostrum. Sorry, it doesn't mean you will be going into labor anytime soon. You may need to start wearing nursing pads, sometimes it can leak a lot. Hang in there, it will be over before you know it and then you will be wishing you were pregnant again. Best of luck to you. Birthing a child is an awesome experience, it makes you feel powerful and like you can do anything. Then the baby cries and your milk drops and your boobs hurt. If you are gonna nurse, the first three weeks are the toughest and then it gets easier. Being at 38 weeks means that you could start contracting soon. But I'm guessing that your milk leaking was a response to something in your environment. An older child crying perhaps.

I was 27 weeks pregnant when my breast starting leaking and 2 days later I went into preterm labor. But that's just me.

No, and youarent actually leaking the milk itself, that comes when the baby does, right now youare actually leaking something called calostrum, its basically the protein base of the milk.......I didnt even get milk for 2 days AFTER my son was born, but its not a bad thing he needed the protein, and I started leaking at 6 months.........He was a full term baby!

I have already had a child and I just found out I ws 6 weeks pregnant , What was my first clue? I had a leaky nipple! This is ok ! and after you have a baby, some women still have milk leak right before their period, like my friend! Good Luck!

no, just means that your boobs are getting pretty full but your bidy keeps producing milk so there is no room for it and thats why you start to leak

i am 34 weeks pregnant and my breast have been leaking for two months now and i havent had him yet.....but 38 weeks is soon soo good luck and congrats on the new baby!!

mine started leaking during 24th week now m in 28th week....the milk that ur leaking is colostrum...its happens

not really the milk has no where else too go so it has too come out.your have no more room too carry any more than what size your breast is.
