I love expressing my opinion, but you cannot led people into thinking your opinion is fact. What do you think are the best places to express opinions and worst places, and how can we prevent people into believing that it is pure fact. I like expressing but mostly reading opinions online at this website http://www.tratosnow.com
I found a link at Al Gore's question.

This is not the real Dan Rather, just a fan of his work.

In a commercial world of media, where we are trained to see, accept and purchase things we really don't need, to see news on TV and hear an opinion from a journalist, we've been trained to see, accept and buy the opinion as fact. (It's like propaganda.)

It has been lately that the "voice of reason" is being heard regarding news worthy events. Patriotic or not, Americans are waking up to reality and disagreeing with the Administration.

N. News should be truth.

E. Editorial should be an opinion.

W. Weather should be truth.

S. Sports should be truth.

Dan, there is already a place for opinion, but too much opinion is overflowing into the other segments.

How about a blog. Seems perfectly suited to the opinion that is expressed in news columns today. Not since the heyday of "yellow journalism" has so much bullsh#t passed as truth. And at that time there was no pretense about it being anything but crap. So if you want to shoot off your mouth with lie filled opinions, use the blog format. Then nobody will have read it or pay to read it. Other than that, the only other place would be in college textbooks.

Hey Dan,

It is 'lead' not 'led.' It is 'the best and worst places' not what you have. It is 'from believing' not 'into believing.' It is 'our opinions are', not 'it is.' 'it' is a singular pronoun and you have no singular nouns in your sentence. You have a few plural nouns, so you don't want to use a pronoun anyway. It is 'to Al' not 'at Al.'

There are many fine grammar sites on the Internet that will help you better express of your opinions. I still have a long way to go as well and I apologize for being so direct.

I believe that facts should be presented fully and separately from opinion. As Americans we have the luxury of "free" press, but that becomes dangerous when people use that as a platform for their own agendas. I believe that people should be given the facts ALL the facts so they can form their own opinion.
