Nothing, Using synthetic oil if your manufacturer doesn't require it is wasting your money.
Use the weight (ie 5w-30) and service grade that your manufacturer recommends.
Don't buy into the name brand stuff, it's just marketing. check out this site, it's interesting and educational.

OK, You need not to use any other oil in you vehicle other than what the factory requests. You will ruin your engine if you make that mistake. Trust me, we drive a Volvo and a Corvette they both require the synthetic oil, which does cost more, but are so much better for the cars engines.

Synthetic oil is a waste of money IMO, the performance is too close to regular motor oil. But the engine should be fine.

Nothing, absolutely nothing more then a regular oil change will take place..

Though the synthetic will keep the engine cleaner, and clean a dirty engine.

At the one shop I worked at, the oil rep said that switching back makes you burn a lot more oil, and it breaks down the molecular structure faster. We actually seemed to notice this in the shop too before he even told us this. So, there ya go.

other people have said that switching back to normal oil is no problem...if you remove the synthetic first.

There is no problem switching back to a normal (10-30W) oil. Just keep it changed every three thousand miles or every three months.

So long as you do this switch with an oil change, there should be no problem, I've done it.
