Notice the number of people in this forum that can't write proper sentences or even use the spell checker. Lack of intelligence is rampant in the US.
People that simply advocate for either the left or right are insipid shallow ideologues. As the press is heavily left leaning, most people who only read glossy magazines or listen to the boob tube only have half of the information. They then believe it and spout it back at you here.

I think Tony Blair has way more integrity and honor than Bush but has been dragged into a war in Iraq by the will of the current administration here. I think if it were up to Tony Blair entirely, he would have decided to take military action against a nation that would actually have a real effect on terrorists to operate. You have to understand that in the US, Republicans tend to be less educated, and ignorant of facts, this is not merely me being insulting, although I wish it was, but poll numbers and statistics actually support that. Many Republicans believe that Iraq had a connection to 9-11 and Al- Quaeda, they also believe that we actually found the weapons we started the war over, also they are under the false impression that Al-queada is an organisation much like a government or an army, so therefore it is actually possible to corner them into one country and wipe them out. Their understanding of the situation is extremely limited. Now that is not to say that all Democrats are the smartest most informed people in the country, but as a common rule, Republicans tend to be the less informed of the two. Also they are under the impression that there is some sort of vast conspiracy in the mainstream media against their president, so most of the information they receive is from right wing influenced websites, and a handfull of radio and TV outlets. You would also be surprised at the number of real Republicans that despise this president for his incompetence and lack of fiscal conservatism. You must keep in mind that the Republican party has become extremely well educated in using the media and adopting an agressive stance on key issues to mold the public's view of the party itself and of reality. This coupled with an ignorant and uneducated base results in a very beneficial combination for the administration. As for Tony Blair, I do think he is a superior leader to our president, and I find it hard to believe people don't like him so much over there.

No GW is not to blame. In this country the president is more of a figure head than anything.
The problems the US is facing is 99% congress's and a corrupt two party system. This will not change until people change it. Forecefully if necessary.

Blair is just stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, he knows that if Europe stays away from the US, it is bad for Euope. He feels that someone has to engage the US and has chosen himself for the job.
On the other hand, his voters hate his guts for being a lapdog...
