As a viking fan, I think its about time the lions pick someone else besides a wide receiver . Ernie sims was with out a doudt a great pick. Yeesssss he will make a impact 4 the team but look 4 him him to bust out in his 2nd year .good luck this year lion fan

How? When the rest of the Lions' defense is mediocre, at best, how can Ernie Sims possibly dominate. Both of the Lions' other LB's are nicked and it's only July.
If Sims shows great pursuit, other teams will run right at him. If the opposition can seal him off, they will run away from him. Detroit needs to improve on the d-line to make Sims an impact player.

Ernie Sims has some very impressive combine stats. He's fast and he's a monster.
Unfortunately, people that have suffered concussions are more likely to suffer them again and again, which is dangerous.
He'll end up on the IR.

Not as much as AJ Hawk or Abdul Hodge....
The packers got 2 of the top 4 LBs in this year's draft.
Seriously, Sims will do ok - I wouldn't say one person can 'kill' offenses though.

He's on the Lions, the one team guarenteed to kill talent quick. Sorry, but they need a better system in the Motor City.

one defensive palyer. Last year they let chicago score 30 points on them (27th over all rated offense in league) twice. Ten more players like that an we'll see

No. It's still a team sport and he won't have enough good players around him to make a huge impact. He is a fine player, however.
