Lon Chaney: the monster of a thousand faces!! The man was way ahead of his time. Boris Karloff was fantastic as Dracula : to look into his eyes in the role, you'd swear Karloff really was a human-like netherworldly creature.

Sigh....it's a debatable toss up between those two as being number 1. Taking third place--bar none: Vincent Price--a skilled master of horror theactrical arts by his own right.
