These wiseacre answers are especially non-hilarious in view of the fact that both injured officers died on Saturday night.
The best guess of the searchers is that the shooter has left the immediate area. A comprehensive search of the wooded area into which he was seen running has turned up nothing.
My guess: the shooter has committed suicide and his body has not been spotted so far.
