All you hear any more is Bush bashing. News outlets like the dispicable New York Times go out of thier way to report soley on putting down the Bush adminastration. Its because their Editor in Chief is a left bastard who hand picked his staff. The NY Times has done some awful things. People base their opinions and views off the media, even though they know half the time to story is one sided and rarely shows more than one view. This country it going down the tubes when everything is getting so political. Its all about Republican and Democrat anymore and not about whats truely right and wrong.

If people see an article, etc. supporting what they WANT to believe, they tend to believe it and build arguments from it. If they are taught to hate Bush by their parents, for example, they will want to read and discuss articles that preach against Bush. Plus, we must remember what most people believe: If the idiot box says something is true, it definitely is. There is ABSOLUTELY no chance it can be wrong. It's sad to see, but few people think for themselves or care about important issues- most just want to know about which celebrities are plopping out illegitimate babies.

Clit nibler28 thinks he's getting a DIFFERENT story from the NY Times. All we're getting from them is the more extreme version of Bush hatred. So much so that they are willing to compromise national security for the sake of discrediting the administration. Not once but twice they have revealed functional and successful programs that have produced results in limiting the capabilities of our enemies, the terrorists. This on top of article on top of article designed to do harm to a sitting president's role in international politics. This is where they join the ranks of the rest of the popular media. Nothing new here. Just a willingness to go further to push their agenda.

I'm pretty sure that people have good reasons for their views.

Liberals are loud. That's part of their personality. It's part of what makes them liberals. So they support most of the liberal media, and you hear them screaming a lot.

But Bush is in office, which means that the quieter conservative side is also equally more massive, and then there are free thinkiers who, in this case, haven't been swayed by the loudness.

And then, maybe sometimes the liberals will have better arguments- I'm not saying anything good or bad about either side, mind you.

Just ya'll be careful what you're saying. People all support their ideas. Nobody is as dumb, politically, as you think.

Well, it's kinda funny, because when things are going wrong people want to know why NOBODY said anything.

So if a paper like the NY Times (and I don't know what article in particular pissed you off so much you felt you needed to talk about it) decides to shed a different light on things... shouldn't that be a good thing?

Where else are we supose to get our facts? Bush doesn't tell us what's going on in this country. Every thing is a big secrite in this country. So what else does any one expect for American people to think? Media is all we have.
This country needs better schools.

Dude, look at your average american. Lazy as hell, they dont want to do research on things. They take what they hear and say its right. Why? cause their lazy *** friend who did not want to do research read the same garbage and says "yeah thats how it is". its a cycle of ignorance. im a black man, and im a bush supporter. yeah crazy huh? ignorant people would think so. i been to iraq and back and i feel what your saying. terrorist, osama bin laden, north korea. they all pale in comparision to our true enemy, our own ignorance and the american media. but people are too lazy and too ignorant to even realize the need to do anything about it. you might as well not even get mad about it. pathetic really. i feel your pain man

convinced, I certatinly am. and also you're absoulouotlly one hundred% maximum proper to say that each and every one what's for sale in the nationwide information is in basic terms undesirable about Iraq and not in any respect something solid in any respect. Iraq is a historic u . s . a . and became between the richest in oil (formerly american invasion ofcourse) and richest in arabic historic previous. that's authentic that it had a president who became a dictator formerly yet what does this impression u . s . a . of america which unexpectedly got here dashing to invade it. surely this invasion is meant for OIL in basic terms, oil in basic terms! u . s . a . of america brings this undesirable information of Iraq to hide its undesirable doings, this is worse, in Iraq. What are you able to are saying about someone who starts a wrestle and blames each and every thing on the sufferer by saying "this is no longer my fault, this is his fault". unusual isn't it. to inform you the truth, i'm shamefully and angrilly drained of my u . s . a . doing this.

They haven't studied economics. However, I have studied it, and Bush has it wrong. The Rep's and Dem's are the same, except to a matter of degree. The Rep's spend and spend. The dem's spend and spend and spend and spend and spend.

Well said.

I recommend the book "Bias" by a CBS insider who talks about anti-conservative bias in the media.
