Materazzi is a dirty cheater. But considering Buffon, I wanted Italia to win.

Well, I'm from Australia ... so naturally I wanted Australia to win.
But I know that eventhough we played well, it's still way too ambitious for them to win this World Cup, since they qualified again for the first time in 32 years.
So I went for Germany ... they're a good team and with the support of home crowd, I thought they could go a long way. And they proved to be a great team ... but unfortunately they had to lose against Italy.
Therefore, I figured whichever teram could knock Germany out, must be able to win the Cup as well. So after Germany is out, I supported Italy and they did win.
However, if the allegations against Materazzi is true, shame on him. Well done Italy ... and France (you're not bad)

I wanted Brazil to win and they didnt but they are still the #1 team in the world even if Italy won the world cup

England definitely would be a high one for me - but I'm satisfied that Italy took the win even though I'm disappointed that it ended the way it did on penalty goals and a red card for Zidane, France really deserved the right to win mostly because they played much better in the second half and things were really looking fantastic for them until the "nasty incident" occurred!!

For me Portugal deserved to be in the finals and deserved to win the world cup because they did not suck in the first elimination round, in fact they are the ones that got all 9 points. The only reason they lost was because of an unfair penalty kick given to France. Damn Henry knows how to fake it! (and people complain about Cristiano Ronaldo diving!) Portugal has the best goalie!!!! And Figo and Cristiano Ronaldo Rule. I am glad Italy won though!

I wanted Germany to win, but they didn't make it to the finals. I'm glad they got third place, though.
Even though they did defeat Germany, I preferred Italy to win the World Cup over France.

I wanted France to win. They play more exciting football. Italy tend to sit back and hope for a chance to score from a corner or free kick, or hope the game goes to penalties. (which it of course did).
