The idea of ceasing to exist bothers me. I ceased to exist before I was born, right? Where was I before then?

If reincarnation is a factor in all this, who was I before, and did that other person ever think about "what happens in the after life? Who am I going to be next?"

Anyway, I'm going somewhere, hopefully the good place, in one form or another.

I will be reincarnated, so I guess the only thing I have to fear is coming back as a descendant of the Bush family or something. But then, if that were to happen, maybe it would be for the purpose of me using my "royal" blood to get to the top and then once I am there, I can help the homeless and the poor and sick. That would rock.

Actually nothing. For I believe and know of an afterlife. I've died before in a hospital and brought back to LIFE. I'm looking FORWARD to it. I gave my heart to Jesus years ago, and when I got sick (rare form of chickenpox) I died briefly in a hospital and was brought back to life. Interesting reading can also be found int 2 Corinthians chapter 12 verses 2-5 and Revelation chapters 21 and 22

I have no reason to fear my death now that I know that there is an afterlife...

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John

you won't know that you died. death is not a bad thing. but it does not matter. because death is very much the same. as before you were born. do you remember what it was like before you were born? that is what death will be like. so if i die in the next few minutes what difference does it make for me. it may for the people i leave behind yes or maybe. but not for me. got it

I am afraid that after living this life and accumulating all of my experiences and memories, I will just fade to nothing. I terrified that we don't go anywhere after death.
I would rather reincarnate :P

I fear nothing of the after life, my fear would be for my children that I would leave behind.

No Fear! I'll be dead...I'll be cremated and if my spirit walks again, I hope I overtake the body of some ignorant redneck and cause havoc with them. I think that would be fun.
