why do people like to talk of other people?

gossip is wrong in all its forms. They want to seem superior to others that they know something that others may not know, but it makes em look that more stupid and places them in the moron category

It's because talking about others is easier than talking about yourself. Talking about others gives you a sense of control. Talking about yourself means you become vulnerable.

And the most simplest reason is because people really don't have much to to when they got a lot of time on their hands.
