the main reason I said specifically Marry higging Clark and Susan Grant is because thier romance style books are very Racey and provacative... with alot or Violence ( vampires and such) or a killer.... always a great read

I like Rosamunde Pilcher, and of course Judith Krentz is pretty good especially her earlier stuff. For fun mysteries try Lillian Jackson Braun - not very romantic but the same characters in every book including two special Siamese cats.
Best love story I ever read is Border Music by Robert James Waller. I still read it from time to time and always cry.

Nora Roberts has written some mysteries under the pen name J.D. Robb - and I'd imagine, since it's her, that some romance would be involved too!
There is also a series of Harlequine books called "Intrigue" that are romantic mysteries. You might enjoy a few of those.
