i turned down my best friend because i don't want things to change between us and now he won't even talk to me ....... what am i gonna do????? he is my best friend and i need him!!!!

You have got to talk to him. If he is truly your friend he will understand why you turned him down. Tell him how much he means to you and that you really really need him, as a friend only. If after talking to him he still doesn't want to talk to you then he is showing how selfish he really is, and do you really need a friend so selfish?

I was sorta in the situation that your best friend is in, he is proably feeling really hurt and stupid (nothing against you for it) try calling him and explaining why, really if you 2 agreed to stay best friends if you guys went out what could be wrong with that? Seriously it'd be like dating someone who knows you inside out.. . ..But if you don't feel any feelings towards him like that say that you are sorry you have hurt him and understand that he needs time to deal but you still really REALLY want to stay best friends!!!!

Tell him this is exactly why you said no, cos it means alot to you for you guys to be friends and your sad that he isnt talkin to you anymore tell him you miss hanging out with him and you think its stupid for you guys to not be talking, tell him you dont want things to be uncomfortable between you both. make plans with him to break the ice, tell him you wanna hang out soon, when is he free :) good luck!
