my stomach is burning like crazy and when I vomit it burns as it comes up (sorry if it's TMI) I am sooo uncomfortable :(.. my Dr.'s appointment isn't 'til next week.. I spoke with the RN there and she said bread and crackers should help til the Dr. can prescribe something for the nausea. I just want to know if there are any pregnant women or people who've been around someone with a similar experience. and what they did that helped.. cause the crackers and bread is NOT working.

First, no matter how upset your stomach is, you need to eat. It's much better to throw up food than stomach acid...trust me. Almonds are wonderful, as well as all natural ginger ale. Try some stomach soothing foods, and avoid anything spicy, fried, or heavy as these will tend to increase the problem.

there are acupressure bracelets that you can buy over the counter @ a rite aid or Walgreen's theres no drugs involved you just wear a bracelet. Also aromatherapy sometimes helps. Try smelling a fresh cut lemon, or fresh mint,or rosemary. Peppermint tea is also good for upset stomachs. However stay away from milk, because although it may seem like it would help it actually has alot of acid in it . hope this helps.

some times bread will activate acid....if it is white bread...because all white bread is, is sugar. I had the worst of it with my first preg. and it turned out i was dehydrated. I am preg, with # 3, and barely have a proble, becausei am constantly drinking water. Juice, soda, and sugar will agrivate acid stomach. You need to eat small, but frequent. Bland...and water ALL the time. I take tums and on really bad days i take 75mg ZANTAC... over the counter, acid reducers. My doc told me i could take them, but i havent heard a lot of docs letting thier patients do it, but my doc looked n her book, said it is OK...and i have doen it thru all my pregnancies..no problem. BUT i highly recomend you have your thyrid checked. It could be a thyroid problem, if it is, it needs to be addressed right away. Thats what i can tell you from my hellish experience. I was in emerge once, because the heart burn was SO bad!!!!

Okay. This is going to sound completely weird, but it works. It is an extremely simple old Greek remedy for upset stomachs. Lemon Juice. Just a tablespoon. I know it sounds like the last thing you would possibly want, but it works. I take it every time.
If you have to take someone's advice: take the ancient Greek culture's word!

I had this through my WHOLE pregnancy both time I've been pregnant. Nothing helped. I just had to watch what I ate and hope and pray it didn't come back up. I lost 20 pounds at the beginning of my pregnancies for this reason lol. My advice to you is try to eat things that will not be AS bad coming back up, hahaa

Yes you could have ovulated later. By 6 weeks you should be able to see something on the ultrasound but it is good your levels are going up. One of my pregnancys it was so early they didnt see anything either and i went on to have a beautiful little girl. On the other hand at 6 weeks with another pregnancy they could see a sac but no baby. But if ur levels are going up i would say that was a good thing.

I hear you, I've gone through it. This sounds CRAZY, but it worked for me. Keep crackers by your bed. As soon as you wake, before you get out bed... (moving as little as possible from the lying position) eat just a couple of crackers. Even if your mouth is dry. Even if you don't feel like eating.

I don't know why it works, but it does. (I didn't believe the person that told me either.) Ask your dr about a perscription for nexium or prevacid (for the heartburn.)

Let me know how it works!

Eat tums...lots of them. Can't see anything wrong with that. I have acid reflux and it gets so bad that I actually get stomach acid in my mouth sometimes. Tums always does the trick for me. Extra Strength ones.

my mom would take a quarter teaspoon baking soda with some water for the acid. it's more natural than antacids. and ginger root for nausea. make ginger tea and sip it. but each pregnancy is different. good luck.

I SWEAR by ginger. Fresh ginger root grated then soaked in hot water is the best. (add sweetner to taste). There are also some good ginger teas. Snack on ginger snaps. Also my doctor gave me a sucker called a B-NATAL that had some B vitimans in it. It really helped. Good luck, I was there and it is NO fun
