Yes. I find marriage to be great. However, most people lack the dedication and committment it takes to maintain a successful marriage. Marriage is hard work. It takes patience, understanding, sacrifice, trust, honesty and unselfishness. To achieve these things a couple must have true love for one another. Unfortunately, most of todays relationships are base on sex. Rather than taking the time to get to know one another and developing a friendship, most people opt to jump into a sexual relationship and try building from there. When this happen the opportunity to truly fall in love is thrown out the window because sex often gives people the illusion that they are in love when in all actuality they are only in love with the feeling. Unfortunately this usually doesn't get discovered until after they are married and have to deal with real life issues. Sex is good, but it alone is not powerful enough to stand the test of time. To anyone getting married I would recommend they take the time to get to know one another and develop a friendship. I am a christian and I personally believe that it also helps when you invite God into your life as well as your relationship.

Yes. That nurturing, helping caring, loving relationship that can be entered into by two people. Whether those two be man and woman, woman and woman or man and man. If it brings out mutual hope, support, nurturing in the partners making each a better person in the community because of their marriage I'm all for it and I'm also all for the religious nose's to keep there collective noses out of other peoples butts and business in the name of God. My experiences with God has taught me we should be more concerned with our selves than what others are doing. Your not judged on how many people you looked down your noses at, but how many you helped up. To pass up assisting a well clothed man on the street is not as condemned as passing up a destitute by God. If a man and a woman were fornicating in the public square your reward would be greater to help the starving child rather than chastise the couple.

Yes, I believe they do exist. After humankind has done some experiments, they will find that marriage is still a fundamental aspect of the human organisational structure.

i did believe in it. That was 18 years ago. Now, after all the years of verbal and emotional abuse, cheated on and being told lies after lies, it finally dawned on me that a marriage is just path to hell.

Yes, its a very good system to raise children and to get a man and a woman together to love and trust each other for the rest of their lives.

Yes, I do!!! As long as both parties do really love each other.....there's no reason to get married for the sake of being married....that's just silly!!
