Let your parents meet this guy and get to know him. Hopefully they will see further than the color of his skin and see he is a good person.

What the hell do your parents have to do with it? Your parents feelings about the situation are even less relevant than the color of this guy's skin.
Your parents should be concerned more with your education, safety and wellbeing than with what is going on in your panties.
If you truly don't care what they say about it you shouldn't be concerned with what they think about it.
Although, I should think you would have higher priorities in life than this. What happened to a college education and a career? Have you ever once taken the time to consider how much time is wasted on this kind of nonsense?
Just remember when you're thinking about marriage and babies that every divorced sucker in the world thought they were in love. Every knocked-up teenage slut on the planet who dropped out of highschool to have a baby and is now a single mother in a trailer park sucking on the government tit living off of rental assistance, a wellfare check and foodstamps thought they had found "the one".
Pull your head out of your *** and get your ******* priorities straight.

Join the many that is involved this way. always be honest with your parents for they will be there when no one is there. I may understand you if you were on your own. but when you are not, you involve those who are close to you. be honest with themn first and tell them your feelings with this man think about what they say. consider how old you are. consider his family. consider if there are children. consider his back ground and yours. will be be able to be with you for better or worse for richer of poorer in sickness and in health forsaken all others (all others?) until death do you part. I am a black man. and I wish you luck.

Stand up for yourself. Our parents are from a different generation, they think differently about certain subjects. Go with what your heart tells you, without being TOO insubordinate. Hopefully they'll learn to respect your choices and decisions and you can all get along.

I think it depends on your relationship with your parents. If you have an open relationship with them explain how you feel about him. If not, I would just not tell them until it got to a point that it was very serious.
