It seems as if I will have to pay for a .com address, but there must be a way to make an address for free, any info? Thanks.

Fortunately there is no way at this point to get a free registered domain name. The day that happens, I'm retiring as a professional designer as every child out there will be registering some retarded domain name or another.

There are lots of sites that allow for free hosted pages such as Geocities and Angelfire.

If you aren't happy with the www.domain.com/folder/mypagename url you can use a free rediction company called Kickme.to (www.kickme.to) which offers a wide variety of forwarders that will mask your url so instead of typing in www.domain.com/folder/mypagenameurl.com you can use something like www.kickass.at/myname

i dont think you can get something like www.myname.com for free. But you can definitely purchase a domain like that for really cheap. Probably like $10 or less.
