No not really. I think that the Wii (horrible name-should have kept Revolution) won't really be doing the same thing as the other two big boys. Nintendo really isn't trying to compete in the same category. But then again I was sad when Sega gave up because the Genesis was my favorite system for a long time. I loved Sega, I never really loved Nintendo , but I think that their games on the Wii really wouldn't work on any other consoles so they shouldn't just give up.

No way! Sony will BOMB this year. Their system and games will be too overpriced for the average consumer, and will only be popular amongst the spoiled rich ppl of the world.
Whereas, the Wii (agreeably a dumb name) will appeal to a much broader group of people, due to its low, low price and creative games.
I didn't think I'd ever say this, having gone from Sega Genesis to PS1 to Xbox and avoiding Nintendo all the time, but....

I love the nintendo systems...systems of old systems of new...can't get enough Nintendo...i bought a PS2 and felt dirty is how bad it was...the oldest ataris i'm ok with b/c nintendo wasn't aroud then, but now i'm sad...you should have asked do as atari did and every1 would be sayinbg what do you say? what is the atari? 2600...thats 500 some odd years from now!

Yea, they cant compete with Sony or Microsoft, and usually try to keep beating the Mario based games to death. Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion... wtf lol... They should do excatly what sega did, just make games and no more consoles. Xbox and PS2 is really only what the new generation knows. Kid I know who is 14 never even heard of Sega. Wowzers eh?
