if a fork was called a dog (and the reverse true), youd probably be thinking the same thing, just in reverse also, right?
call it whatever you want. a word is just a verbal symbol that refers to an object or idea, it has no real meaning of its own.

Yes, I have wondered that. I've also thought about teaching babies the wrong words...like instead of car, tell them it's an elephant. Then when they are going down the road with someone, they'll keep saying, "hey I see an elephant"

I've wondered why we call poop poop, ok imagine this - "Hey you guys want to go to the olive garden and get some poop to eat" "Oh sure but first I think I must alfredo" WTF? I don't think so, lets be happy and not wonder.
