I used pampers for both my kids. With my first child, i tried pampers first but they started getting expensive. After a while I got tired of her clothes getting pooped all over them from white cloud diapers. White cloud don't absorb as well as pampers. With my second child, pampers were the only diapers she could wear because she had really sensitive skin. You can get pampers pretty cheap. I rarely pay more than 8 dollars for a pack of diapers. Remember, coupons are good. Also, walmart matches competitors prices. I go through sales adds and look for the cheapest price. Then I use my coupons (which are usually 2 dollars off) when I get them. You can't do it much better then that. I've tried luvs, huggies, dry bottoms, dollar store brand, and a few others. Pampers are best. There's no denying that.

I think the best brand is Huggies, and they really aren't that expensive it is about $10 dollars a week $40 a month for them. Also, the cheaper diapers leak a lot more. I had to change my son at least once in the middle of the night because he leaked through his clothes. With Huggies I don't have to change him until the morning. Another thing is when I was using the cheaper diapers my son got rashes almost every week.

I like the Kroger Ultra-Comforts (NOT to be confused with the FMV). they remind me of Huggies and they have a nice, stretchy waist and don't leak. Both of my boys are wearing size 5 diapers now, so it's been a while since I bought newborn diapers. :) For a case of the size 5 (80 diapers) it's $16.99. I think it's the same price for the newborn size, but you get quite a bit more.

I am very frugal, so I have tried many brands of generic diapers. I have not liked any of them. Some leak worse than others, but they all leak so in the long run it was a better value to get more expensive ones. I have found that the Huggies diapers are sized smaller, so you have to get a bigger size which is more expensive. I like pampers.

The Costco brand Kirklands. If you dont have a membership, then Luv's is ok. If you clip coupons and hit sales, you can get the Huggies Supreme for the same price as those though and they are the absolute best diapers out there.

I tried Luvs, Target brand, Huggies and Pampers. I use Pampers and only Pampers. The fit great, move with the baby, don't leak, and my son doesn't pee through them. I used the Swaddlers until he outgrew them, and now we use Baby-Dry. The Swaddlers have a cut out for the belly button too!

P.S. Pampers has coupons in almost every pack of diapers. It's usually for $1 off another pack of diapers. I buy them at Target...cheapest non-warehouse place to buy them.

I use Target brand. They are much cheaper, and they work wonderfully. I used Luvs, Huggies, Pampers, and the Wal Mart Brand. The Target ones work just as well, if not better, and they are much cheaper. I pay $12.97 for a box of 104 (this is in WI - I know they are not the same price everywhere).

P.S. - my baby had no reaction to them - she still uses them. They were the only ones we bought from 2 months on.

I'm really sorry 2 say, but there are no good cheap diapers. The fact is that my mom only used pampers and huggies on my brother and i, but when I threw her a shower for her twins, people gave offbrand diapers. Instead of taking them back we just used them, but we quickly learned to take them back. She would never have used them unless they had been gifts. I reccommend huggies or pampers swaddlers, they are more expensive, but the fact is that you spend the money you saved washing the clothes that got dirty from the diaper leaking.
Good luck!

We tried a bunch of off-brand diapers, and we didn't have good experiences with any of them.

We ended up sticking with Pampers Swaddlers/Cruisers, and just looking for sales and coupons.

We joined Costco, too, because buying brand-name diapers there was a lot cheaper than buying them anywhere else, but they stopped carrying Pampers. (Only Huggies and the Costco brand, now.)

Luckily, we only have one in diapers now, so it's not such a big deal anymore.

White-Cloud from Walmart work pretty good. Inexpensive diapers sometimes will leave baby smelling really bad if they are simply made too cheap. Try a few brands, you will see what I mean.
