Do liberals understand the idea of "freedom of speech" and "freedom of religion", or do they just understand "freedom from religion"? It seems that they think they have the "freedom from speech" of rightwingers that make them look like asinine (like Ann Coulter, Limbaugh, and Fox News)

Liberal=communist whether they know it or not, whether they like it or not. These are the feel-good, life should be fair, there are no unintended consequences type. Rush Limbaugh single handedly took AM radio, which was on the verge of death, and made it a viable medium again. Now the Libs, who have had every opportunity to do the same, mearly whine that it is not fair that talk radio is so biased, and something should be done.
I agree that something should be done, but I don't think the Libs would appreciate my suggestion.

I get freedom of religion and freedom of speech. . . I go to church every Sunday with my husband and daughter. We are very active in our church as a family, and I like that. But I like to hear about my God in church because not everyone worships God in the same way. I am Methodist, and I think that Catholics are a little too much. Their religion is different, even though we worship the same God. How can you decide which way we worship God in our public schools w/o offending someone???
And the freedom of speech?? I think everyone has the right to say whatever they choose, even if it makes them look like a complete jackass. . .

Considering that there are a lot of Liberals who believe in God, considering that churches like Unitarians and Episcopalians and Presbyterians tend to be more Liberal, only means that your stereotyping is pretty much an outright lie.
From what I gather their complaint is that faith shouldn't be forced on anyone but should be sought out.

Nobody seems to understand the idea of "freedom of speech." Liberals freak out when the right says "god, god, god" and the conservatives freak out when liberals say "no god, no god, no god." It's not one sided here. Both sides are guidly.
