Shallow but honest.
We are but grass, we sprout, grow, whither then die. What defines you when your through? Basically it comes down to what you did and didn't do and why you did it.

Yes we're all just dust in the wind, nothing really matters. Too much to ask, eh. Hells no man! That's the dream, like apple pie; and we all should get a piece of the pie before the dust thing goes down. Besides Brother, if you don't ask it's unlikely you'll get; so aim high and hit the heights! Consider this if you will, the idea of it "being the dream" fits in to an unreal world because it's all a dream; just dust in the wind. Cool question, thanks.

can you find a flaw in this proof of immortality?
the same thing in the same time period cannot change and completely not change - ie, if you have x and y and you know that in the same time period, x changes and y completely doesnt, you know that x and y are not the same thing
the body changes second by second - atoms jigging around - people growing up - learning - changing
yet you remain exactly you all that time from childhood to age
therefore you are not your body
you HAVE a body - you are a bodiless, shapeless, formless, positionless, colourless, timeless thing that has a body
there is energy and matter - energy is immortal and formless [scientists say energy cannot be created or destroyed] - matter is forms is bodies is the physical world, which is always changing
but it is also the nature of energy to appear as forms, as bodies - and energy is changeless so its nature will not change - so you will come into a body forever
the purpose of life is to pursue your happiness with all you have got, with all your wits, all your faculties, all your knowledge, all your skills - do that and you will feel alive, alove - dont do that and you will feel 'dead'

And do you think that dust is nothing? Dust is very important for us whether we are dead or alive. We live on it and are turned into it. It is our ONLY CERTAIN TRUTH. But unfortunately DUST is devalued and despised by humans in the same way they despise and devalue themselves. This dust can be soil in which plants grow to feed animals and humans. Dust also can be a mire from which you can't get out of at all. Then, you, dust what do you want yourself to be a "soil" or a "mire"?

Yes, your body is only the dust in the wind. A lifetime if even you reach one hundred years will pass in the blink of an eye. have faith in God( of your choice) and after watching loved ones being put in the ground you will come too realize that though their bodies may be in that dark hole; their spirits are in a far better place...
I like the ideal of being in a peaceful place waiting and watching the road everyday for her arrivial too our true and permanet home.

Yea. Nothing really matters but the earth and sky. And all we are is dust in the wind. And it slips away.

Truthfully, we're even less significant than dust in the whole 'scheme of the universe' thing.

It's how you want to view things. Life is meaningless, that is why we are here, to give it meaning.
If what you want is to score with a hot chick, you have to try, try and try again.
