why is it that there are people in this world going hungry and we are paying athletes ridiculous amounts of money so they can drive around million dollar cars? don't you think they should recieve a salary like the rest of us and put that money to good use? what makes them so special anyway everyone is good at something but you don't see them making 50 million dollars as some players make in one ****** season.

Free market and the laws of supply and demand. When 50,000 people are willing to shell out $10 apiece to see a poor person in BFE 3 nights a week then he or she will be rich too.
Get a life. Grow a brain. Life is not fair.
Why don't you get rich and then you can give all YOUR money away to the poor if it makes you feel better.

Because the world has some serious problems with prioritization. If everyone made ABOUT an equal amount of money, and took care of each other the world would be a better place and we would be happier and live longer, happier lives.

Dont be a hater. Athletes are not starving the homeless. I dont know what you do for a living but I bet someone in India will do it for less, so i guess that means that you are contributing to the starvation as well. Get real. Everyone has there part ot do, but athletes are not the "evil ones"

ok... how bout this one... not only are we paying athletes a **** ton of money just to be pretty... but why is it that, even though the government knows of the poverty in this world, they would rather spend the money sending troops over seas in countries where they do not belong? why not take the troops out of Iraq and places like that and spend the money helping out the developing and seriously poor countries???

there are a lot of people out there who make ridiculous amounts of money. look at the movie stars. and the singers. athletes have had to work hard to get where they are at. probably harder than anyone else who makes that kind of money.
