But the same right belongs to Palestine too.
Israel must defend but not encroach - that is not part of the right to defend. They have unfortunately done that in past and now are in process of returning some of the encroached areas. Again defense does not mean that other peoples life is worth lesser. I heard an argument trying to justify how life of an Israeli is 100 times more worth than others - and this is what is basis of their justification of letting other innocent people killed in their strikes against terror.
Defend home, but don't destroy anyone Else's.

Without a doubt Israel has the right to defend itself, but to what extent should Israel defend itself if it were to perhaps provoke a world war or nuclear war? Defense is only a natural reaction, but attacking Syria would undoubtedly provoke Iran, and thus in the words of iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will result in Israel receiving a very fierce response. Considering past statements made by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad coupled with the fact they are probably a nuclear power I wouldn't put anything past them, although my guess is that this would just be one bloody conventional war.

Yes Israel has the right to defend itself and it's stuck in a nieghbourhood for lack of a better term who don't think they should exist.
I just hope they don't start ww3 where east meets west and they are the exscuse for everyone to "enter" the war. WW1 started like this

of course, I just think it's funny how a black country in war, or a muslim country in war doesn't have the US backing it from day one. There IS a hidden agenda.
