A Guppy lifespan should be around 2 years. I have some guppies that live for one and half year and still healthy but she is swimming slowly now.

What do you mean by funny and heavy?

The usual life span is 1 year. Lifespan depends on so many factors. proper feeding and carings play important roles. Proper feeding means you are giving her the right combination of live food and man-made products. Guppies fed on live foods usually survive longer. Caring means NOT allowing her to get pregnant very often. You should shield her from the males after giving birth. Breed only for 3 times a year can incredibly ncreasets life span.

The average lifespan of a captive-bred tank-raised guppy is closer to 14 months, and if she is swimming slowly and staying near plants and cover, she is most likely pregnant.

8 months to a year.

Has this happened after a water change? If so, get out your test kit, may be too much chlorine.
