More exactly, I want to edit the song to start at a certain point, end at a certain point, and start at a different part of the song. I want to put this music into my cell phone as a ring tone.

Cool edit pro would be a good program for you to use. IT's not toexpensive and would work great for what you want

YOU CAN USE THE PROGRAM MICROSOFT MOVIE MAKER
IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS XP YOU WILL HAVE IT
GO TO START THEN ALL PROGRAMS AND IT SHOULD BE CALLED WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER.
THEN JUST IMPORT YOUR MUSIC AND PLAY WITH IT A LIL AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND ON HOW TO DO IT

i think there is a program called Finale. ive neard its expensive, but it is really nice.
