I'm a christian and I LOVE Harry Potter, lol... I don't think there is any harm intended from those books... But you have to understand the reason that Christians feel that way. They think (with a good point too) that kids will read that book, and think "cool, I want to be a witch", and start learning about the real deal. They have a point. I'd say if you're mature enough to watch it, go ahead and enjoy. But tell children that what they see is a fiction story, and let them know if you don't want them to be deeply influenced by the movie.... Bless you, hope this answers your question...

Not all Christians hate Harry Potter!

There are some fundamentalist groups that protest Harry Potter because they feel it encourages the practice of Witchcraft and following Satan. You know young impressionable minds being lured into satanic practices . . .

Frankly, I love Harry Potter. I have discussed it at Church and a group of us usually attend the movies as they are released together.

I'm a Christian and I love Harry Potter, can't wait for the next book and movie next year. Unlike many other Christians I understand that you can enjoy Fictional books and movies. Just like I enjoyed reading Jurassic Park and watching the movie though dinosaurs never existed (just joking). The Harry Potter books are good books that show good things like friendship, trust, loyalty

I'm a devout Christian and I love Harry Potter. I WILL say the books are much much better than the rather lame movies.

The problem with your question is that you are too narrow minded to separate the Extremist Right Wing Evangelical Hypocritical Moron Christians from the rest of us.....umm, that would be Catholics, Episcopalians, Presbeterians and METHODISTS!

Big assumption! I'm a Christian & I do not "hate" Harry Potter. Not crazy about it but I'm not 12 yrs old.

Whoa, whoa, whoa! I am Christian, Methodist actually but it's still Christian. I love Harry Potter, so I don't know where you got the idea that Christians hate him. All my friends are Christian and they love him, but one, she's more into vampires.
