Beautiful to me is finding someone who shares your same morale, and ethical standards. Someone you feel has a true understanding of you as a person and appreciates you for the person you are. A person who you share common interests with.
Physical attributions are unimportant, the reality of life is that as we age our physical attributions fade and disappear as well, so I have always felt you better have something more than that going for your relationship if not it will definitely not weather the test of time.
Society is totally focused upon how a woman or a man looks on the outside and not even caring what kind of "human" being they are inside and that may well be the reasons the divorce rate is so high and relationships rarely last for any significant length of time. Also it probably accounts for the many individuals with serious and life threatening eating disorders society has placed so much emphases on physical beauty rather than inner beauty.

The word 'Beautiful' perhaps comes under 'fuzzy logic'... Normally what gives me joy should be beautiful to me.. But does it really define 'beauty'. Let us look at it with a logical mind, then negation seems an easy route... "what is not Ugly, must be under the list of 'beautiful'(maybe varying in degrees) !
The logical training that the modern day upbringing gives thrust upon, actually kept me away from understanding why I was not really good at defining beauty ! So instead, I started looking for what is REALLY Ugly ? A serious investigation actually gave surprising results ! There IS something beautiful about even ugly things. A little bit of deeper perception is all that matters ! There was a time when 'villains' in stories/movies, got very little appreciation. Wisdom dawned that it is the cruelty of villains that sometimes 'makes' you incline towards the hero ! Without a villain we really don't know how a hero could look beautiful ? There started a new cult villain worship (!?). So, to a evolving, growing person, the items under ugly list should gradually vanish, and then EVERYTHING AROUND IS BEAUTIFUL. Till then, reasonably, it could be, what is not ugly (to me) is beautiful !

Yes, I think that society today gives the impession that what is on the outside is the most important thing.
My defination of beauty is that which reflects God. Nature is beautiful because it supplies us with such wonderful creatures, incredible scenery, memorable wonders that boggle the mind (Grand Canyon for example). But that also can be in a human too. A beautiful person may have lots of wrinkles and be hunched over but still volunteer everyday to help teach children to read. Or they may be young with much older wisdom and see a need at their school and raise money for that. Maybe seeing an ill stranger in a public restroom and assisting them to a stall. That is all beauty. Simple. Loving. Caring.

Beauty is a spark, it comes from within and rises up from a person in amber glowing waves. It is a moment, no matter how seemingly trivial at the time, that captures your heart and mind in such a fashion that it becomes a memory that you turn to to light your times of darkness. Beauty can manifest itself in a look, a smile, a wink, a hug, a gift, a sacrifice, a helping hand, a kiss.

I see beauty in kindness. You could have a beautiful soul, mind, or body as well. The most beautiful people or things are the ones that don't even realize how beautiful they are. I see the most beauty in nature. The way the clouds form. The way the leaves blow in the wind. The way the moon glows so bright on a cold dark night....

The beauty you appreciate is the expression of your love through a symbolic medium. You see a symbol that brings rise and recognition to the emotions you feel, such as one's countenance, a regal mountain rage, a lush forest, teeming with life, a grand waterfall, etc. Beauty is an epic archetype displaying a representation of the awesome infinity of your emotions. These emotions you feel are not perceived by any senses, they are just felt in the brain with no extraneous tool to interpret them. Emotions, therefore, appear limitless, as does the splendor of the beauty you see and feel. That splendor is again, near eternal.
A visual stimulant can cause hormonal patterns to take course through your body. A lion chasing you will induce fear and make your body fill with cortisol. The somatic effects are a racing heart, cold feet, and a lowered immune system, etc. All visual stimuli will register in the brain which relays the information to your DNA which then produces proteins in the body that become hormones once in contact with the cholesterol in your body. Beauty induces emotions, and chemicals become produced in the brain.
Beauty is a symbol, whether that symbol should be recognized purely for its form, or even for its function. There is beauty in form and there is beauty in function and once the function is recognized, part of the beauty in form is lost. When the form is recognized, there is ignorance to the beauty in function.
Basically, what is beautiful makes you feel good inside. Sometimes it can make you feel small and worthless when you subconsciously compare the beauty of you to the beauty you see. One can tend to feel ugly when compared to such awesome beauty. One can feel beautiful when compared to what they judge as ugliness. However, beauty does bring rise to beautiful emotions when corollaries to the self do not come into play. You can, however, corollate beauty to emotion.

Challenging question: female beauty is deeper than mere appearance. All the senses must be considered:
Her voice must be gentle and soothing, her touch dry and warm and most importantly, her smell must be pleasing or unnoticeable. She should not be over-perfumed and use it only sparingly. At first men are attracted by appearance, but for an enduring relationship beauty's other features must satisfy.

Beautiful is the sun peaking through the soft dew laiden trees on a quiet morn, beautiful is a innocent young bride gracefully walking down the isle into the arms of her prince charming, beautiful is the starry night sky as a warm summers breeze rolls through the evening shade, beautiful is understanding of the one who could create such majesty and as you ponder such as these He gently carresses your soul in peace.

Beauty to me is anything that is natural; sunsets, blue skies, smell of flowers, etc. Beauty in a person is something that comes from inside; their personality, sense of humor, outlook on life, level of honesty, etc. A person's looks can be beautiful to another person without being what society considers to be perfection. We are each given personal tastes that dictate what we consider beautiful in another.
