Yes. First: don't use the house rule that gives a player $500 for landing on Free Parking. Now, there are two possible courses of action. You could get monopolies on all the cheapest properties and put two and three houses on each. This ties up the houses and your opponent can't build hotels because of the building shortage. (Building shortage is covered in the rules. Look it up.)
Another course of action would be to buy the Orange and Red monopolies. Those are the most commonly landed on properties and it will only be a matter of time before you opponents get there!

Sure, it's possible! The green properties are extremely potent. Also, you can build houses more cheaply on, say, the orange and red properties.
The trouble is always getting a monopoly of any given color. Typically, the first person to do that has a good chance of winning, especially for every round that goes by without someone else getting a monopoly.

Actually, a monopoly in all of the properties on the right side of the board (I forget their names) will beat Boardwalk and Park Place any day. If you don't have any monopolies, sooner or later you're gonna land on Boardwalk or Parkplace, Or any other monopolies your sister might have. But Boardwalk and Parkplace will definitely bankrupt you faster.

It is very possible to win without Park Place and Boardwalk. You gotta own all 4 railroads and own at least one whole color area on two sides of the board, preferably the green zone, red zone, and baby blue zone. Gotta build houses quick before she gets her houses on Park Place and Boardwalk. That way there is more of a chance landing on your property and payin you and she will not be able to develop Park Place and Boardwalk.

yes, you have to buy a lot of the properties, the best ones are the railroads, the ones next to the free parking and the ones right after the go to jail and go( those little cheapies, rack up money because when the dice rolled people tend to land on the first) there is a pattern. Also try to get the utilities, those can hurt too.

Yes I have won and lost without anyone having the properties listed.
Most times it was short timed play.
There is a book out on Monopoly game play strategies.

The odds of a person consistantly landing on Park Place & Boardwalk is lower than landing on say one of the green or red squares. I personally like the orange, red, yellow, & green, but you can win by having more sets of properties together than separately.

Yes, you can win without Park Place or Boardwalk.
All you have to do is have her land on a property of yours where the rent is more than the money she has.

Its definitely possible. Personally, I like to get the orange monopoly - its not that much money to buy, but when you add hotels and such it gets pretty difficult for someone to land on one of the [three] spaces and still come out with money!

You can if you put hotels on a few of the other color groups. Naturally the green group and the yellow group would be best, but even if you have hotels on Mediterranean, Baltic, Vermont, Connecticut and the other light blue one, you can really clean people out.
