I want to learn how to hem hubby's pants & make doll clothes on a sewing machine but have no idea where to start.....help??

I already have a machine....is sewing on a machine very hard???

Find a fabric or sewing shop in your area. If they don't offer classes they should have a list of competent teachers in your area.
Or you could contact Pacc.org, the professional association of custom clothiers or contact asg.org the american sewing guild. Either of these groups should have a list of teachers in your area. They can help you find a teach.

Buy a sewing machine first. There should be instructions on how to sew. It's actually very easy once you get the hang of everything.

You should ask around and I am sure you can find someone that knows how to sew that can help you learn.
