The problem with questions like this is that they tend to ignore individual variation. In human beings, this is a major issue. So - generally, yes, women and men do think differently. Which is better is a matter for someone else to debate. However, it is not hard to find women who think more like men and vice versa.
Making decisions based on generalizations like this is a very dangerous thing to do. Or, as my Uncle Jack used to say, never try to wade across a river that's an average of three feet deep.
