How do I edit my own website myself? Without bothering my website designer guy?

I'm tired of my web guy taking forever to add updates and such to my personal website; i'd like to know if it's possible to do it myself.

if you could do it yourself, you wouldnt need him in the first place. fire the lazy guy and get someone else.
