I don't think it's wierd . . . I think it's sick. Double standards are just not okay. Society has done so much to get rid of the old double standards (women aren't smart enough to vote, have a job, etc and those of anything other than white heritage needed special help to succeed), that creating a new set of them is counter-productive.
And, thank you for actually bringing this up . . . I am one of the only people I know who didn't find the wife on "Everybody Loves Raymond" funny when she would back her husband up against the wall, screaming and pointing her finger at him. And,that's only one example. Abusive behavior is abusive behavior, regardless of who's dishing it out.

I had not thought of that, but it is true. My take on the movie concept is that is an ultimate extension of the idea "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Through in super powered PMS and you basically have what I think is the comedic premise of the movie. That said, the idea of abuse is not funny, no matter the form it takes. I think most of what she did in the commercials make her out to be a sort of psycho nut job as a super hero anyway.

Its hypocritical is what it is.A double standard that keeps a cycle of violence alive.I've seen a lot of answers here on this format about guys whose girlfriends write in and state they did something(Bad or not so bad)to them and the female response was vicious.I mean including bodily injury and destroying his life.If that question were presented by a male, and the same answers from males were presented.I am almost sure the poster would have been reported on by at least one or more of the female responders.Somehow the assertion is that women are physically weaker and it becomes more acceptable.

NO it's not funny, it just goes to show that women don't want equal rights. They want it all. If a women wants to work a typical male orentated job, Fine, good on them. Should they get paid the same for the same job, sure pay them better if they do a better job. But if you pick a fight with a man and hit a man, it is not okay for the man to hit back. If a women stands in her window naked and a man walks by and stops and looks at her, she calls the cops, and the man goes to jail for being a peeping tom. If a man stands in his window naked and a women walks by and stops to look and the cops are called the man gets arested for indescent exposer. Both cases it is the male that would get arrested

I've also seen a preview for this movie, and it definitely does not look like something I'd like to see.
Not everyone believe women abusing men is funny. While this movie does try to show some extreme (and unrealistic) examples, I think in many cases women abusing men is rather subtle and unknown to the world.
Verbal abuse, for example, is very harmful though it is not as obvious as physical abuse. And I'm not saying that women are more likely to use verbal than physical abuse for both genders use both types of abuse.
Basically, I think people are more struck by the more obvious types of abuse (in many cases, males physically abusing females)

Abuse feels the such as all, guy, woman, toddler or animal. after all it is not humorous. There are some women obtainable in the worldwide who think of they're entitled to be abusive via fact they seem to be a woman. shame on them. All abuse is the comparable, no count number the source.

It's prob. because most cultures are used to the idea that Men should never fight a woman under any circumstances. Also, because most people think that the "everyone equal" idea is only at a racial standard.
