There are several websites you can go to in order to upgrade your phone. (T-mobile.com being one of them.)
In addition to going to websites or a T-Mobile store, you can go into any of their retail partners. I know that Wal-mart sells T-Mobile and does their upgrades as does several other retailers.

go to ebay and search t-mobile phones or unlocked phones then just put your sim card in the new phone and tada.
