I agree. The "snipe" service that automatically puts in bids at the end of an auction for a person seconds before the auction is over have ruined any chance for it to be like a "real auction".

It was never a "real" auction, as in like a live auction. People could always bid at the last minute, so it hasn't changed in that sense at all. And the last minute bidder doesn't win, the highest bidder does. So if you lose to a last minute bidder, it is your own fault for not bidding high enough.

I hate when people do that ****!! God it gets on my nerves. Nobody will bid for like 6 1/2 days then like 2 minutes they bid before you can even do anything.

Yes, and it is Ebay's fault for allowing it. So sellers protect themselves with higher starting prices or buy it now's, which makes the buyers mad which escalates over and over. It used to be a fun place. But now, there are so many people selling things... the same things... that what used to be a rare find, isn't anymore.
