Make sure that you lotion frequently, to keep yourself from peeling. You may want to use aloe vera gel to take the burn out if it still hurts. This will work well. Also I always use coca butter loation, this helps to turn the burn into a tan, but first and foremost you need to make sure that you don't peel, because if you do you can't turn that into a tan.

They sell a soothing aloe vera lotion made for sunburns. I always apply that often through out the day and it works for me to help prevent peeling. It's green in color.

If it's bad, you'll peel no matter what you put on it. But try aloe vera. The real stuff, from the plant, not that bottled crap.
