My computer 1st hard disk not working properly.

I took this 2nd hard disk from another computer which was working fine.

BIOS won't recognize? Meaning it doesn't show up on the list of IDE devices? Check jumper settings which are likely diagrammed on the bottom of the drive.

More than likely, your hard drive doesn't have the boot partition set to be Active with system files on it. Since you say that you have win98 on it already, how did 98 get on that disk?
Installed on a different computer?

Unfortunately, with computers, the questions are easy... it's the answers that are tough.

just cheek the jumper seeting if you are trying cnact 2 hard disk on one id cable than you adject the jumper seeeting in hard disk on frant side explain on hard disk wich hard disk oprating system loded make master thro jumper and another is slave
than after go cmose seeting boopt option and than slect 1st boot devise ID1 and save changing

Are you saying that you loaded win98 on a new hard drive and the PC won't boot? or .... What does it say when you turn the computer on?

Because it requires Windows XP.

Check to see if your bios is set to Raid array by default.
