I made a puddle of Joy Dish washing liquid on mine keeping it inside a ring made with a dish cloth. I let it set for about 15 minutes and it came right off. Then i just rinsed the leather with clean water on a fresh dish rag. Waaalaaaa!!! Gone in 15 minutes. No Hassel and no fuss. The plus is it didn't cost me an arm and a leg.

I believe the best thing to do is put your article in the freezer overnight, then scrape it off with a table knife or other blunt gentle scaping device while it is still very cold and brittle. Any leftover areas can be removed with products specifically designed to remove gum, such as "Gumaway"

There is this "cold spray" that freezes the gum so you can peel it off. They use it in schools to get it out of carpet. Might work for you. Ice pack may work the same.

Rub it with an ice cube and pick it off bit by bit with your fingernail.
