The answer to your question is Yes and NO!

To the majority of normal people music can be appreciated and enjoyed. It may affect people by putting them is tranquil moods at times. I'm a school teacher and when students are working on their class assignments, I often play smooth jazz and that calms the students down. But, does the music make them act a certain way.... NO, not really.

Now, there are other knuckle-heads that are emotionally deprived, so music can influence their behavior. You get some skin-head to hear Nazi or Racist music and he'll want to go out and beat up a homosexual or minority person. You get some depressed kid to listen to depressing music and he will attempt suicide, I think some kids that like gangsta-rap music may think it appropriate to use vulgar language, degrade females or commit crimes with handguns because the music encourages those ideals. For these mentally challenged people, YES music does affect and influence them.

Hope this help.

It certainly does. Lyrics can bring you up or down when associated with an event or era. It can change your mood. I like to put on something snappy like "Chicago" soundtrack to get motivated for housework. Many artists are more inspired in their work while listening to classical music. There's a reason why some country songs are known as 'tear jerkers'. And the blues.. well it just moves people. Most music does, one way or the other.

Yes. Music affects one's mood as well as one's view of situations/people/the world. A perfect example is the influence rap has had on todays teens, suddenly gang-banging is cool.

i imagine existence without song should be weird and wonderful what a void it ought to go away. we are on correct of problems with song yet when we placed the song on that's like an instinct to us to flow even if it in simple terms be a toe or a vocal chord there is none human beings that ought to forget concerning the song that we adore.

Yes, it can really make someone sad thinking of an old love, or a breakup. It can also make you happy remembering a certain place, party or club that you heard the song!
