Bistro.....

Allot of good answers above. It really could be some of the problems listed.

I want to use my GREAT Krispin powers, to make a guess.

I have had similar problems and it turned out to be Vacuum leaks. These fuel injected engines just run terrible if the sensors are being fooled by a leak. Of course it could be the MAF sensor itself. Located in the intake air duct. It can be cleaned as the fellow above decribed. a QueTip and alcohol.
Check the vacuum lines on and around the manifold, make sure they are intact and not loose, check the vacuum line to PCV valve, and the PCV itself. Shake it, if it rattles it is probably OK.

Easy stuff to check. I don't think it is the the O2 sensor since you don't have a "check engine" light from the computer.

Good Luck, Bistro.

When you combine the answers you get a close idea but there is no order. Let's get everything lined out here. First...put a bottle or two of heat in the fuel tank. Run it for an hour. No change....replace the fuel filter and put in some injector cleaner. That should take care of it. If it doesn't, then move on to the rest of the fuel system. Check your computer for codes...yes, that truck has a computer. Good luck. Start with the easy stuff first. Sounds like it may have a few misses though. Does it idle rough? Check your plugs before replacing parts. Maybe do a compression check. Just trying to help you from wasting any money.

Mechtech's answer is good, but even before I would replace the fuel filter, I would run through a tank of premium gas. If that doesn't help, put in a new fuel filter.

Good stuff listed above,
MAF (Air flow) sensor,
MAP Manifold pressure sensor, Spray CRC around to check for vacuum leaks, (will change engine speed if sucked into leak)
BG 44K will actually clean injectors,
Fuel filter is good idea for maintenance, but symptom is usually that it runs bad at full throttle.
Good luck

sounds a lot like a bad oxygen sensor. It really could be a number of things. Do you have a check engine light on? If you do take it to AutoZone and let them run a scan on it. If you don't have a light, change your fuel filter and check your air filter.

the perfect way is to flow examine on different similar sort motorcycle in similar challenge.in spite of the indisputable fact that with better technologies the engines no longer pick a run in,and there ought to no longer be any noises. You stated it isn't mushy it truly is a indicator of problem with piston earrings.Get it checked with the broking see you later as its in assure.

sounds like a dirty maf sensor. it has two tiny wires that get a thin build up of dirt on it, and the computer will think there is less air going in to the engine. you can carefully clean the wires with a q tip and electrical parts cleaner. be careful!!!

As far as one answer, thats impossible, it could be many things, dirty injectors, clogged fuel filter, fuel pump, bad fuel. To start with I'd change the fuel filter.

my tracker does this when it gets water in the gas lines.... but it shouldnt do that all the time....maybe fuel injection clogged up? if its water in the gas , buy some heat ( i think that is what its called) and it will dry up water in the gas...
