I think you should buy a wave cap and get some alcohol and baby oil. After your head is completely shaved you have to rub alcohol on your head and yes it will burn, but it will also open the pores on your head then take a wash cloth and wet it with regular cold water from the tap and wipe the access alcohol from your head don't use hot or warm water on the wash cloth because it will close your pores. After your head dries rub the baby oil onto your scalp and put the wave cap on. What you are doing is locking moisture in to your pores because one of the main reasons you probably get razor burn is because your scalp is dry or you only moisturize the surface of your scalp and once it dries that's it. Wearing the wave cap at night holds the moisture in.

You need to shave WITH the grain. Don't shave against it or it's going to irritate it. I learned this lesson in a weird circumstance...but I used to get razor burn all the time. Now that I shave with the grain...I can shave dry and still have NO irritation.

use a good sharp razor and more gel...make sure your razor is not dull and take your time shaving!!!
