I think neither's okay. It's just a watered down form of racism that's "accepted" within our community.

I don't think anyone should call anyone names! Growing up in the south, I heard the N word a lot, but, in all fairness, we were called Cracka and Cracker all the time, by blacks. How they said it, depended on how well they pronounced their words. They both meant the same thing. Just like saying the N word with ga or ger at the end means the same thing. No matter how it is pronounced, name calling is ugly!
It is time for us all to get past the name calling and just be people. We should be recognized for who we are and what we do, rather than by how we look. These names should be history, by now.

I guess it would depend on the people you're saying it around. My friend is white and she say *****,and it doesn't bother me.We're back and forth all the time saying silly things.I've called her a Cracka. The thing with us is we've known each other since 10th grade and we have respect and know what would hurt each others feelings.Key word is RESPECT!!As long as people know your intentions its cool.*****,Cracka,or anything said to hurt someone and make them feel beneath the other person is not cool!!!

apparently there are many, many who think its OK to say "cracker", straight out. or "honkey" ...why can they call me or my husband by these names, but we would most definitely go to jail if anyone called a black person a "******"? it just doesn't make sense. they can say things to us, but we cant say things to them...
i have alot of black friends, and we never fight, but there are alot of black people around with a big fat bad attitude, and i really don't understand what i did to anyone to get the brunt of it. I'm polite, and i try my best to think before i speak. whats the deal?

NO!! That's OUR word! It's not offensive when we use it. But it's racist when they use it.
Or something like that. Whatever argument they use to keep them seperate and progress the stereotype.

Only if it's ok for whites to say "*****" and not "******".
It works both ways.
